Ana Roldán (Mexico City 1977) opens its first exhibition in Spain in the gallery FORMATOCOMODO under "black mirror" add works as, "Different Orders" (2012) "Form and Functions" (2011) among others. Currently involved in the show "First Act" at the Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City and Surplus Authors Falke Pisano writte de With in Rotterdam. Since this is my first exhibition in Spain seemed appropriate title Black Mirror, first by Spain and Mexico context, almost all the works are born from a research I did nearly two years ago about the modern Mexican art, he as something between a return to the pre-Hispanic and progress towards modernity, ie modern folk in Mexico is very, very baroque, and the reason is the desire to claim the Hispanic roots after the revolution in the years 20 and which coincided with the emergence of the modern movement. Furthermore, all refer to other works or ideas, then it is like watching these realities translated or transformed through a black mirror. The series of photographs "Different Orders" that even today continues to grow comes from visits to museums in former Soviet countries of the Caucasus. My subject of interest is the strange museology, dedication to preserve and display its history with precarious materials. When I found these settings as primary, I started working with them interviniéndolos with the vocabulary of natural phenomena, which is also built primary forms, based on the method of drawing Adolfo Best Maugard. This vocabulary, which developed between 2010 in 2011, are drawings made from basic shapes that can be decrypted, all have their translation. I use it often to intervene other objects, such as making comments to them.
